Stifel & Marcin Moves to New Location

New Space Accommodates Agency Growth

Portland, CT – October 25, 2010 – Portland, CT-based Stifel & Marcin, a full-service advertising, marketing, design and branding agency, announced today its move to new offices at 329 Main Street, Portland. The new location will enable the Company to better accommodate recent growth and future hiring needs, while remaining in a central location that is easily accessible to clients in the Hartford/Springfield, Middletown, and New Haven business districts.

“We’ve been fortunate to have experienced significant growth in spite of challenging economic conditions,” said Christine Marcin, agency principal. “For many years, we’ve run the business out of a small office space and given our recent growth, and future hiring plans, that’s no longer practical. Our new location is a beautiful historic building located in picturesque Portland along the Connecticut River, and convenient for our clients, with easy access to major highways.”

Stifel & Marcin’s business has grown 250% during the last two years, which has required them to add staff and space. In a competitive industry where creativity is paramount, Stifel & Marcin will dedicate more than one third of its new space to its creative staff. “We believe our location helps keep the creativity flowing, and it was important to maintain a productive atmosphere for our creative team,” continued Marcin.

“Control Module Industries recently hired Stifel & Marcin to assist us with our advertising, beginning with the creation of new marketing materials and the development of our branding. In a word, the experience has been a ‘pleasure,’” said James W. Bianco, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, a new client the agency added in 2010. “Their responsiveness has far exceeded our expectations – learning about our company, strategizing key messages and getting priority materials to our sales team within weeks. CMI has been one of the largest technology businesses in Connecticut for over 40 years, and we’ve worked with many large marketing and advertising agencies. Stifel & Marcin has provided the highest levels of service, responsiveness and quality of work in all of my experiences. With this in mind, I understand why the company has grown, and I wish them all the best for continued success.”

“In a tight economy, we’re well-positioned to help our clients. We’re small, so we’re nimble. We’ve built our business around a small core staff, supplemented by seasoned professionals on a contract basis, allowing us to maintain the highest levels of quality and service while keeping our fees low,” said Andrew Stifel, founder and principal. “We’ve looked for unique ways for our customers to maximize their marketing dollars – this can be supplementing a reduced advertising budget with new PR and social networking initiatives, readdressing company literature, negotiating media contracts to lower costs, or improving web and email efforts to increase traffic and response. Over the years we’ve developed a client niche in the manufacturing, industrial, and technology fields – industries that tend to employ more traditional marketing tactics. We work with our clients to make sure they get the results they need, while still meeting their budget requirements.”
